Or software development. Math majors tend to make good programmers.

So I’ve heard! I just don’t want to see it on my store page. 🤣

Star Wars - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith would both be infinitely better if a better actor than Hayden Christensen had been cast as Anakin Skywalker.

I really think George Lucas as director was the problem there. Hayden Christiansen isn’t a terrible actor. Neither is Natalie Portman or Ewan McGregor. But all three of them have just terrible, awful line reads in those movies.

Portman’s career took a hit from those movies, though she recovered because she already had a foothold in the industry. McGregor was a well-known actor already, so he wasn’t hurt. Christiansen got demolished.

A bad actor makes themself look bad. A bad director makes every actor look bad.

Even the steam store just feels different now. Its full of gooner porn bait visual novels and mundane activity sims and 1 season relevant fps shooters.

For what it’s worth, I recently learned you can turn off the gooner porn bait visual novels in the store without turning off incidental sexual content games like BG3. They have gradations of sexual content.

(This doesn’t solve the other categories, but I suspect you can tailor your store experience to limit those as well.)

I mean I wouldn't dare say this to a therapist, I'd get involuntarily committed, which would just make me even more depressed.

Being involuntarily committed requires a present danger to yourself or others. Curiosity is not that. Talk to a therapist, it can really help.

(Also, for what it’s worth, being committed can really help. I spent a few days in a mental health ward and, while I wanted nothing more than to get out at the time, it ended up being very good for me. Unfortunately it also meant I started avoiding talking to a therapist, like you’re doing. I regret that result immensely, therapy is too useful.)

I once heard someone say:

“My teens were my body’s puberty, my twenties were my mind’s puberty. By my thirties I started to have a handle on things.”

That has really stuck with me. I’ve loved my thirties!

Could be. That’s not uncommon these days, and makes a lot of sense financially for Derek. But yeah, somewhat disappointing. Mentor Pilot did, too. Likely why both channels have added additional hosts, according to Micro.

Some of these channels have changed over the years, expanding and adding hosts and things, but they consistently make good content and have either improved or maintained that quality.

Fascinating, I didn’t realize the Roman Catholic Church didn’t have deaconesses. The Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches do, and several Protestant denominations do.

Ah, right, okay, reading the Wikipedia page, the presence of deaconesses fell off when the church became institutionalized under Constantine and started removing women from leadership roles. Just went downhill from there.

Good job, Roman Catholic Church. Ignore your own holy text which contains examples of deaconesses in favor of a patriarchal system that was mostly enforced after the Roman government took an interest in the church. 🙄
