"alleging"

Nah, he was murdered. No question about it. Same with every other person in the boat strikes.

Just because it's done with a drone or a bomb doesn't make it any different, even if they were involved in drugs or not.

If you had a guy walking around with a bunch of heroin somewhere in the states, and a cop just shoots him down with a sniper without any reasoning other than the guy had heroin, the cop would go to jail for murder.

Well, if the system weren't complete corrupt that is.

I'd argue he was murdered and the US committed an act of war against Columbia

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

No, I'd argue that they committed an act of war against Colombia.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

He was murdered and the criminal who made that decision admitted to the crime publicly (after cowardly trying to blame those he commanded)

[–] JensSpahnpasta@feddit.org 9 points 1 week ago

You are totally correct - it's important to use precice language

Just to add a little more to what you're saying. They guy is "allegedly" walking around with heroin when he gets taken out.

Not “alleged” “WAS” murdered.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 27 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Generally, the news says "alleged" until someone is convicted, even if it's plainly obvious they're guilty

[–] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 week ago

Also, complaints do allege things.

Allegations can be entirely bulletproof accurate.

Except when it's Israel. Then they keep using "alleged" even after humans right organizations and world courts confirm their crimes. Always gotta add that "We asked Israel and they said everyone is Hamas and Antisemitic" so we kinda have to "show both sides" of course. Journalistic integrity and all.

Unless it's Mangione, for whatever reason.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Yup. Hard to argue it wasn't murder.

[–] Cyberflunk@lemmy.world 23 points 1 week ago

Keep talking, they will iill you too, America is the murdering foreigner.

I wish a cancerous death to the entire MAGA and Democratic leaders who are enabling this continued mass murder and slavery trade

[–] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

lol, alleging? That's awfully polite of them.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

That's probably the editor trying not to lose their license

[–] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com 16 points 1 week ago (4 children)

haha this is absolutely appalling. Innocent lives lost in what appears to be a case of mistaken identity or reckless military action. The US government must take responsibility for its actions and provide some form of justice and compensation to the families of those killed.

[–] youngGoku@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hegseth should go to jail and Trump impeached.

[–] CarlGustaf@hilariouschaos.com 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Trump should also go to jail.

[–] Speculater@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Not disagreeing, just pointing out to other that your account is less than a day old and should be monitored for intention. Specifically if it's trying to provoke or inflame US political tensions.

[–] scarabic@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Trump thinks the only problem with the War on Drugs is that it didn’t have enough collateral damage to be properly called a war.

I swear that man’s brain is permanently stuck in the 1980s with its war on drugs and panicked about heavily armed criminals. He’s still there, mentally, but now he has real power!

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Public officials are also saying things like not only should they have been killed, even if they were defenseless in the water, but they wish they had suffered longer. Like they had shot off an arm and bled out, over hours.

This is real. Absolutely sick fucks with sick fuck followers.

Hey America! We paid for that! People put more effort into the fight when they pay and get the wrong meal at McDonalds.

Americans are great. We are greater and more deserving than all other human beings. /S

EU, Canada, Mexico, and Australia should be taking things seriously and prepping for ww3.

And American civilians should mentally prep for receiving the karma back for all their arrogance and maybe start watching some Gaza and Ukraine videos so you can see what a box truck full of dead family looks like. Maybe buy some candles at your next Scentsy party that smell like burning bodies. Just to get used to things.

Well he probably was so
