I bought a Pentium II 450Mhz Dell tower for $40 at a flea market recently. It was in great condition except for missing a hard drive. Installed a 32gb ssd with a SATA to IDE converter kit and installed Windows 98. It works! This was my first time doing something like this.
Looking for a good graphics card now. I want a VooDoo 2 but those are like $300 on ebay.
Yo, I just set a Dell Inspirion 4600 out on the curb. Free! No HD. It'll run Linux.
Keep on looking at eBay! If you don't have to have an exact model, sometimes you can score deals. I outfitted my 486SX with cards from Romania for cheap!
