Not my intent, I was honestly curious what separated Vivaldi from the dozens of other Blink browsers. Also, I’m earnestly interested in pushing my preconceived notions to the side and giving a new browser a test run.

Yeah, I had heard they are doing a lot to leverage chromium, but also distance themselves from it as much as they reasonably can. I’ll definitely have to give it another try, it just takes a lot for me to swallow the fact that’s chrome based browsers have to rely on google to some extent, but I’m intrigued by their way for doing it.

All that is very intriguing. Chromium based browser make me weary, but Im willing to add it to my rotation of browsers. Thanks for the response.

Jokes aside, is Vivaldi good? Is it worth looking into even tho it’s just another chromium browser?

My company has its own internal system that leverages GPT models. So yeah it’s definitely becoming prevalent. My boss specifically is always toting it as some amazing tool, all the other business wankers think it’s great, my direct colleagues have taken to letting it summarize their meeting notes and clean up their emails before sending.

All in all, it’s a grim situation. From the execs who think it will change the workforce for the better, down to the average workers who are losing their ability to proofread.

I’m beyond the point of airing my grievances and just find myself idly standing by hoping enough of them get owned by it somehow and become weary of it. I don’t think that’s gonna happen, but a guy can dream.

Good! That’s exactly how you should react to that request. BYOD is only okay if the company is subsidizing your monthly bill, even then it’s a grey area to me.

Private devices in general. I’ve seen people logged into their social media on company laptops as if the incognito window matters lol.

Yup! Just cuz your employer isn’t physically there looking over your shoulder while using the device doesn’t mean they are oblivious to what you are doing on it.
