I mean, I am 100% pro-freedom of access and speech and all, but tbf anything that super murders social media is a net positive to the world at this point, until it's less harmful and addictive.

Especially when "just not using it" requires no effort and is literally one if the healthiest things you could do for yourself. Hard to sympathize with anyone grousing so hard while still mainlining the thing they're grousing about.
