Oh no the corruption is real! It's the violent crime thing that's propaganda.

IDK but unfun fact: Anytime anyone wants to talk shit about Chicago, you can point to Boise as one of the dozens of American cities with a higher violent crime rate.

He didn't ghostwrite that, his name is on it. He also worked closely with Harriet, and had access to Robert's notes including whole sections already written. See also Brian Henson making Muppet Christmas Carol and Treasure Island, or Christopher Tolkien publishing supplements to the Silmarillion. Care, authorship, and intimacy abound. Not slop.

Compare with "New Hardy Boys" or the Dune prequels (which may have Brian Herbert's name on the cover but was clearly ghostwritten in large part). Slop.

To prevent a suspect from being legally harassed by the state indefinitely. Sometimes suspects are innocent.

Also, to ensure a speedy trial.

Also, many kinds of evidence, especially the ones available when these limits were put in place, degrade significantly over time.

When people talk about private property, they generally aren't talking about personal property: your desk, your refrigerator, your home. They mean private ownership of eg. farms, factories, cyclotrons

It's mostly the same: discuss in good faith, don't brigade, votes are for quality not for agreement, fuck spez

I hate when people don't know how to act in a restaurant. I can tolerate it in tourists from abroad, that's excusable ignorance. But by the stars, some people never left the five hundred mile radius of where they were born and still never learned basic things like "don't treat service staff like trained animals" or "don't say you're ready to order until you know what you want" or "wait for a host or other staff to seat you instead of sitting down at the only dirty table and then complaining that you don't have a menu and your table is dirty" or "the number of people in your party includes all people, not just adults" or "you can't just order things from random people walking by".

Ugh.

Because the ones that don't feel that way don't get promoted to agent.
