If it was a popular torrent with a lot of seeders, it was probably still working but you never got selected. Could also happen when it was the opposite. If there was like three seeders and no peers, when you finish you're just sitting there with the other folks with no one to seed to.

I downloaded Rammstein's Amerika but it was like just one specific verse and chorus repeated. It was really weird. It took my a while to notice because I didn't know German. My best guess is someone took a free sample of the song from somewhere and edited it so it was longer by repeating it a couple times.

Also, a few of the Nightwish songs I downloaded had an announcer in the middle of the bridge say something like "You are listening to Nightwish's new song Blah on the album Once." Maybe it said something about being able to buy it on iTunes. That one was interesting because it definitely seemed legit. I guess some artists released stuff like that knowing people would steal regardless so they wanted a version with instructions to buy it if you liked it. To this day when I'm listening to those songs I hear the voice in my head when the song gets to those parts.

I hear if you torrent you get a nastygram from your ISP. Meanwhile, I hear if you find a site that offers to stream it for free, nothing bad happens. Also I hear that Yandex gives better results for such sites than Google or DDG/Bing.

What is the context of that verse? It could be an example of how not to behave. (Do not mistake this for me defending the Bible, there is no shortage of contradictions or vile shit in it.)

Even the memes suck now, say what you want about caption memes and dancing babies and troll face, Pepe, me gusta but that shit was at least comprehensible in humor. go on 67 Wikipedia and it literally says "It has no fixed meaning."

You lost me here. This is where you start to sound like a boomer. The annoying thing about 67 isn't that it doesn't have any sense behind it, it's the sheer ubiquity that kids say it. Which, unless you have kids or work with kids you probably really aren't seeing. Look at old MLG montage parody videos. Why was that guy saying "wow" and winking funny? There's no reason. It is just something we laughed at. 67 is the same.

A lot of everything else you say I resonate with. Ads are getting more intense and ubiquitous. My country is going mask off with fascism and disappearing citizens. There's a lot to be upset about. I don't think much of it is related though, you know? Ads just suck because they want more money and that just means showing more ads.

This is some serious advice. Find things to be thankful for, no matter how small, and focus on them. Your perception is your reality. What you fill your mind with is what you see. I know it sort of sounds obvious but, if you're thinking about miserable things all day you'll be miserable. If you think about things that make you happy, you'll be happy. I'm not saying to ignore the bad things or to give up, but you can't fight back if you're miserable. It is okay to take a break. It is okay to want to be happy.

If you're in the northern hemisphere we're in the time of year that gets dark super duper early. Seasonal affective disorder is real. The older I get the more I realize it. I'm not saying blame your thoughts on it being less sunny, but just be aware it can be a component.

I hope you can find some joy. ๐Ÿ’œ

People can just as easily say that only the government can censor you and that private corporations and individuals are free to not allow you to say things they don't want you to.

The worse things get in my life the more I feel like this. I believe it's a consequence of being raised Christian. (Though I am an atheist now.) When I was younger I believed God never gives you more than you can handle. So when things got bad it felt like God was breaking that promise. Now that I'm older it feels like "bad writing." Like, really? This many bad things in such a short time period? It's a little on the nose, isn't it? It's why I can't rewatch I saw the TV Glow until I know I am in a very stable mental place.

Major spoilersThe main characters enjoyed a TV show that got cancelled on a cliff hanger. It is revealed that the characters are actually characters from that show which is reality and the false reality is the world they're stuck in. To get back to the true world they have to bury themselves alive.

I saw this movie right in the heels of Trump's inauguration when I had a lot of other stress going on. Naturally, a movie with 4th wall breaking lines like "Do you ever feel like your life is a TV show?" when I did feel like my life was scripted and the way for them to get out was suicide was pretty terrifying.

The irony being that I have been going through a bit of a gender journey for a while and knew the movie had themes to do with that, but none of that really hot anywhere close to home as the rest mentioned above. I'm just glad I planned to see it surrounded by friends.

The idea that there's an escape hatch on reality is so alluring. The idea that all the bad things in your life are the fault of one person, even if they're a metaphysical entity, is so appealing. The sad reality is that it's all random and sometimes we just get unlucky streaks.

Sorry, this is a little embarrassing lol. But my notification bar with the clock and battery don't show in Jerboa any more. Is this some full screen option in the app I've accidentally turned on or something in Android itself I've enabled for this app?

Thanks!
