So I talk to some curmudgeon online and decided to share the small things I've done to help stanger just to irritate them and get the idea that I'm making an attempt real world people. I did get an hilarious response like:

-"your one of those affluents with a savior complex thats going to "save the working class" that it was never part of"

  • "Getting off to moral superiority you have no morales or soul you dont care about people you just wana feel cool saying fuck the rich while being borgozie yourself"
  • "your just an edgy college liberal rich kid who thinks they are "winning" right now because your entire life is so empty dry and vapid you need something to feel good about the reality is your so weak pathetic and full of microplastocs and soy you could never amount to anything more than the borgozie"

But it's funny in there desperation you get a sense that you have to help people in specific ways, in specific mental state, and be a certain background.

So what's petty reason makes you a "bad person" for helping people or makes helping people"not count "?

the number of downvotes should give you your answer; it's propaganda coupled with natural human misery that makes trying to help others such a difficult (and sometimes self defeating) task.

I interpreted it as people on lemmy want to be petty and hateful and here I come in being like "look at this dork being petty and hateful" and they side with the dork. but im thinking that people should talk about the things they enjoy or think are good into rage bait for people that don't want to do anything think is positive. we should be celebrating small positive actions more than condemning big negative actions online.

you're on one of the instances that took in the most fleeing redditors and they brought their petty & hateful toxicity with them; i strongly recommend changing instances if you want to get away from most of it.

I'm probably more toxic than them and I got hate from asking the questions on asklemmy community.

My toxicity was so bad that it generated a sense of solidarity in FOSS developers, specifically dansup.

the redditors dominated all of lemmy's popular communities (especially asklemmy) and i recommended a different instance so you can see the unpopular communities that don't include their toxicity.

if you're more toxic then them, then you might want to stay where you are.
