A good manager can really reset you if you've built that trust in ways they can't even fathom.

I completely feel this. I had one that just said "I think you're funny, you're very sarcastic and it's funny, but no one else here understands it and so they think you're an asshole". Also flipped me around, that while I thought I was constantly joking that these people are not my friend group and did not understand my very dry delivery.

Taught me to test the waters a bit before going full sarcasm, and people like me a lot more thanks to that

Yup I'm seeing it, and then people wonder why there were so many rules on reddit banning posting until you had so much karma. Because bad actors spoil it for everyone.

The data they had even proved it was useless to us. Something like 50% of the content came from the 10% on third party apps. They just couldn't deal with only 90% of their users being served ads constantly though and had to kill off the third party apps.

From what I hear content got noticeably worse. Good

We really need a hard fork, or an alternative. Android doesn't have the same feeling it did 15 years ago, even 10. It was the open alternative, the anti-apple. Now they just want to be apple.

The amount of people who treat work devices like their own is insane. When work is over my laptop is shutdown and closed. There's no need for it to be on at all until I start working again. In a way I kind of get the corpo ITs reasoning why they'd want this, people messaging their friends and families from the same devices that have company secrets on them

So they killed ChromeOS to... Do this?

She's built like a steakhouse but handles like a bistro

Once downloaded, MusicBrainz Picard is going to be your best friend in organizing everything. Then choosing how you host it, I just have it in Jellyfin with my other media.

Yup title reeled me in, but even as an engineer.... I tuned out after 2 sentences

Correct! I don't like it, but gotta play the game if you want to make the cash

Bingo. For each node if it's 0 continue if it's 1 then bfs to get everything. Store that group temporarily and mark which nodes you've seen. For the remaining nodes check if they are 1 and you have not seen it and continue. O(n log n) I believe, since you still iterate over everything and check

I had one that was similar to this guys, got to the CEO interview and until that moment I was still excited to be there. They flat-out asked me "Here at ___ we know we're making the world a better place - and because of that we're willing to make ___ our number one priority in our lives. This is a hard question, are you willing to do the same?"

I was taken aback for a second. I then answered in the only way I could. "I see what you are doing and fully appreciate it. If I'm hired here ___ will be one of the most important things in my life. Whenever I'm working I will be 100% dedicated to the work, I've never shy'ed away from it. I'll work nights and weekends when needed, sometimes those are needed. However you're asking if it will be the most important thing in my life? My answer is no. It will be one of the most important things in my life, but my family and spouse is the my most important thing in my life."

No shit, they ended the interview there, and I got a canned rejection email within 30 minutes. I've never been so angry at the audacity of an interview question like that. Who the fuck do you think you are demanding that you make yourself more important than my spouse?
