Let me ask you if you've ever heard about the Yardhouse's older Full Yard sized glasses. I'm thinking water would go real well in one of those.

I ended up with the OxO but it's on it's way out. I like the wood handle, may I ask the brand/model of yours?

nonstick gets ruined in 9 months, maybe longer if you pay more or are careful. i got my carbon steel pan 3 years ago and stopped replacing nonstick. Didn't cost that much either, got it on a sale. Pair your carbon steel with a metal fish turner and you'll be in heaven. No plastic/rubber in your food, the thin edge gets under everything easily, and it makes deglazing a snap.

It's been my experience on Reddit that you only 'win' a difference of opinion by not engaging people. And what you "win" isn't Internet clout, it's your sanity, continued semi privacy, and peace of mind.

Curious to see how Lemmy works out. Searching for a place you can actually engage in respectful disagreement or exchange of ideas. Even if someones' ideas are different than your own, they help you think and explore, and if you come to the same decision, cool.

On another popular site I can refresh my feed and it's instantly all new things to explore. But here on Lemmy when I refresh, I get either the same top posts (with little new activity) or I see them just down a bit.

I've chosen subs that are active, and a mix of subscribed and local subs.

What settings are best to have a similar experience where if you refresh your feed you see new things to subs you're interested in? Even choosing 'new' its like.. there's no new activity when I refresh.

Thank you in advance
