This thread, then, mostly gets answers which are on the mildest end because those who actually hold opinions out of step with the majority know damn well not to speak up, or, well… be immediately othered

Bigotry against the bigoted isn't bigotry.

According to this https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/11/fbi-subpoena-tries-to-unmask-mysterious-founder-of-archive-today/ source, FBI gave Tucows a deadline of 29 November. It has already been 3 days since that date and I see no signs of any action being taken: the archive is operating as usual, and there's absolutely nothing I could find online about the aftermath of this investigation. Was it dismissed? Did Tucows actually give FBI the owner's data? If so, are they in a safe place right now?

In addition to not tracking you and being fully open-source, there are 12 search categories in its settings with literally hundreds of available search engines.

Currently, "bold" and "italic" markup doesn't actually output bold and italic text (semantically); instead, it outputs strongly emphasized (<strong>) and emphasized (<em>) text. This is completely wrong and semantic markup abuse, since we can't guarantee that bold text will only be used for strong importance or that italic text will only be used for emphasis. HTML output for this markup should be changed to general-purpose elements (i.e. *%text%* (_%text%_) should be <i>%text%</i>, not <em>%text%</em>, and **%text%** (__%text%__) should be <b>%text%</b>, not <strong>%text%</strong>).

Literally the only wiki-based media repository out there.

And it should work with practically any browser in existence. It's also one of the few websites still using HTML 4.01.
