There's a general current on hexbear of desperately wanting socialism to be closer than it is and it leads to weird shit like this or takes on the government and economy of China that are weirdly optimistic.

I still find them on average more informed and less annoying than most people on lemmy but the comment sections of propaganda photo ops are cringe as fuck.
