i think in this particular case it's not much different, but generally the muezzin calls five times each day plus a sixth bonus time on fridays for the jumu'ah. this can be even more annoying than the christian stupid sunday morning bell, when everyone is still hungover; that is, if they actually do it from the minaret, but they can also use messengers, radio, etc.
before you change things on it, possibly overwriting important things, make a clone of the data using dd or so. you can also use things like photorec without fixing it first.
That might be true for most other democracies where the winning parties can form a coalition and install a president from amongst them, but the US voting system is so broken with extreme gerrymandering and the electoral college etc, that there currently are only two options:

Support the lesser evil, nudge it left and in parallel work to unfuck things on state kevel.

Rebellion / civil war and vote the lesser evil as backup plan.
Because different from countries with the ability of coalitions on the highest level, the perfect lefty party can't join with the moderate lefty party or liberals and show how good they are and grow. In the US the left parties will be sidelined as an indirect vote for the right wing, because the right wingers will vote in unity, and they will rig the system more every time to keep it like that.
