Did anybody ever doubt this?

Thanks for your work! Unfortunately Gitlab doesn't display anything without JavaScript so I can't read up about it.

Try Dillo. It is what web browsers should have been.

Looks nice. First thing I noticed is that their homepage works without JS. However I am surprised that they didn't remove the account syncing stuff, which could also be achieved with an extension.

Call Colter Shaw!

Sounds nice! Can we have a JS-free Reddit please? 😇

I do have a SIM card for emergencies but I keep it on flight mode 100% of the time.

It's all a balance between being comfortable and getting exploited. Everybody has to find their own sweet spot.

Underrated movie. It's an accurate prediction of today's world. And it contains electrolytes.

I gave up, the issue is much bigger than just privacy. Most people have no problem with having their life controlled by external circumstances and being exploited. They say that's how life is. They don't save money, but spend it all. They don't start a company, but just get hired. They don't protect their data, but give it away for free. They don't eat healthy, but prefer to enjoy their sugar and fast food. They don't work out, but just watch TV, consuming ads. Most people are unreasonable beyond help.

My advice is, just do your thing and let the results speak for themselves.

Hi all, I'm new here. On Reddit there is the front page where I can find popular posts even in obscurely named subreddits like "leopardsatemyface" or "okbuddycinephile" that I could never find by actively searching for it.

How do you discover content on Lemmy that is not in your local instance?

I even tried subscribing to "leopardsatemyface" from Lemmy.world, but my app doesn't even show it in the search results even when actively looking for it. 🤨

Please help 🙈

Also if you don't mind another stupid question, when I subscribe to a community it is first shown as "pending" and only a few minutes later as "joined" - why? What is it waiting for?
