I care. and I hate my own work the most.

There is not a well defined "then". I might not ever get there. I said from the get go that I'm not an artist. I want to be one though.
yeah. But I need to hear it for myself.
I'm trying, ok?
The bad part of using ai responsibly is that every slop "artist" claims to use ai responsibly.
I'd like to interject with my opinion on "piracy" vs "scraping". In piracy, billion dollar companies are screwed. In scraping, ordinary people are screwed.
I side with the ordinary people.
I also use ai for stuff.
I think I'm cooked, as the young people say.
I think this helps, but I'm not sure what to do with it. Of course, I'm going to keep practicing, and eventually I won't need ai to help me anymore, but between now and then...
I care what people think, because I'm soft and squishy and everything I've ever said about not caring was a lie.
You're right, but what if I'm not good enough?
Speaking as someone who genuinely loved all four Mayrix movies, while simultaneously able to recognize the decline in quality as the franchise continued: The Wachowskis didn't understand the media they were ripping off. They were mashing action figures together, effectively, and that's ok. The first movie was lightning in a bottle, of course the sequels wouldn't hold up, but I'm glad they exist because it inspired a significant portion of my own writing.
I agree that having the Wachowskis back in charge of the franchise would be an improvement, not because of their skill as writers and directors, but because of the passion and vision for the art (assuming that they still care, anyway.).

I'm trying. It's hard.
