take a bike ride around the city, maybe do some errands you've been planning, get that sense of accomplishment and feel the breeze on your concealed face, that's what I call a chill vibe alright

There is a historical materialist thread from Project Aerodynamic and Banderite Mykola Lebed to Victoria Nuland determining the leadership after the 2014 coup.

it’s fascist capitalist v “liberal” capitalist

This is correct but probably opposite of how you think it is.

In 1991, one of the founders of NED, Allen Weinstein, stated that much of NED’s work involves doing what the CIA used to do. Some, in fact, refer to NED as the “second CIA.”

Just have to scratch the surface a little bit to see the imperialist connection here. I'd implore you to not just take the surface-level info from NGOs without understanding the interests they serve.

Netanyahu congratulated Machado on her Nobel win and commended her efforts to promote democracy and peace. Machado has previously pledged to move Venezuela’s embassy in Israel to Jerusalem if her movement comes to power, aligning her with other Latin American leaders who have taken pro-Israel stances, including Argentina’s President Javier Milei and former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

doing material analysis and direct action to change the world is just like praying to a higher power, I am very smart

[–] culprit@lemmy.ml 13 points 1 week ago (2 children)

You are fantastically obtuse in your perception of a word that means doing direct action to create material change.

We must hide the fact our arguments are driven by ideology and focus on the material conditions and how they can be immediately improved

That's just a specific kind of praxis though. Praxis is about doing things to change the current state of things. It doesn't proscribe only teaching theory. You can be doing praxis without saying anything academic.

what do you think praxis means here?

Praxis is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied, realized, applied, or put into practice. "Praxis" may also refer to the act of engaging, applying, exercising, realizing, or practising ideas. This has been a recurrent topic in the field of philosophy, discussed in the writings of Plato, Aristotle, St. Augustine, Francis Bacon, Immanuel Kant, Søren Kierkegaard, Ludwig von Mises, Karl Marx, Antonio Gramsci, Martin Heidegger, Hannah Arendt, Jean-Paul Sartre, Paulo Freire, Murray Rothbard, and many others. It has meaning in the political, educational, spiritual and medical realms.
