Those people don't own the mill anymore. How hard is this to understand. It's literally the subject of the discussion. Every single person who works at the current mill can't be assumed to be a trump supporter and don't deserve to be punished to spite people who don't own the mill anymore.
There likely was no possible way for then to get out of the car. If they wanted to survive, their best bet would have been to not skid off a road and go through a fence.
