I'm pretty sure that my own mother has called me a child of a whore so I totally get it. That phrase is used about as much as fuck is in English.
Honestly, not really. They might think you're just confused. Misgendering in that way doesn't come across as offensive in Spanish as it does in English. There are way more effective ways to insult someone, even if you're still aiming to demasculate them.
