That's INSANE. And for a non emergency.

Real. Every year, my partner and I and other partners or friends are welcome to join us, go out into the forests and legally cut down a tree.

It's a pain in the ass, it's adventure, it's a party, it's fun. It's also way cheaper than just buying one. I think we paid like $13 for the state park purpose licence this past weekend.

I have a tradition I made up for this, too. Every year, I cut a puck off the bottom of the tree before I put it in the stand. I drill a hole through it, label it with the year with a marker, and hang it from the tree. I think this will be our 7th year? It hasn't been decorated yet because our living room is super small and a disaster and the tree is currently in the kitchen.

I find that the challenge gives purpose to time, and gives us excuse to socialize more in these dark months.

There's basically no ethical porn. Even under capitalism. Especially under capitalism.

However, I like porn.

There are varying degrees of ethical infringements, as morality is not simply binary.

As... Who I am... I have always found finding porn made for me to be difficult. But, I think that process is important, as it helps you be honest with finding who you are and what you like. I think guilt, shame, and fear are incredibly sad. And while life is full of varying things to do, missing out on one's own sexuality and possibilities of finding bliss and happiness in your sexual prime is an egregiously evil effect of prudism and puritanism. There's definitely more to life than sexual activities, but.... They're also extremely social, fun, good for you, and critically core to fulfillment and growth in so many ways.

I suppose I don't enjoy porn as much as I used to. At least I don't consume it as much as I used to. And that's not for lack of wanting, it's just most porn today sucks ass and I would much rather be doing than watching all the popular boring stuff. It's almost like fomo. Not always, but sometimes you want to DO, not watch, yeah?

Like maybe once you start doing really freaky stuff in real life, your standards go up for stimulation. But at the same time, maybe I have a much better idea what I like and most porn is catering to different people.

Yeah I dunno. It's just porn. Celebrate being alive as best you can. And don't hurt other people unless there's consent >:)

Just download a copy of Wikipedia and become a God. By the convoluted bttf rules, it should update anytime the timeline changes, and you'll know everything that happened.

Different tools for different jobs. There's a ton more variables at play. Oversimplifying does just that.

Play with it all. Try to do both. Then you will have a better idea. Or post on lemmy asking everybody and read a lot of incomplete and possibly misleading explanations that might help you find the detail(s) you lack to edge your mind into a wider hunger for deeper understanding.

Mine? Cast iron is just different. Like using a truck vs using a car.

In real life, nothing is clear. So, when people give you clear explanations, they may be making the decision to not invest a lot of energy trying to get you to understand or know more. Like right now, I know that spectrum people take a lot of explaining sometimes, and I am really tired and going to bed, so my best advice is to understand they're different. Learn by doing if you can, and learn from others if you can. But, if it means anything, I use two cast iron skillets, three types of stainless steel pans, some of them tri-ply, and an aluminum with a nonstick coating. I have my preferences not just for different things, but styles of certain things, and even times for different things (like just cooking for me, or one other person, or multiple other people).

Also, generally with non-stick, using high heat or metal utensils on it will ruin it and expose you to pretty bad chemicals basically immediately. But also so does any smoke in general.

Literally pick your poison.

No need to show off. Don't be a snarky asshole. Be nice to people, but be real. Don't be afraid to be weird or answer with an autistic essay. It's okay to dissent, just don't be a fucking asshole about it. Realize that on Reddit, that shit is all bots and Nazi trolls and meek confirming bitches afraid to be real and tell shitty people that they're wrong and exactly why. Welcome. Prepare to have your eyes ripped open.

I mean, name calling is literally the very bottom of Graham's heiarchy of disagreement.

We are all guilty of this. Especially if you don't think so, you are.

I do like like them, these anti privacy pieces of shit.

I do not like these flock cameras. I do not like them one bit.
