Would you eat food items that has its packaging damaged? If no, what do you do with it? Attempt return/refund or just discard? in c/asklemmy@lemmy.world

Really depends on how damaged. I once bought a tub of Ben and Jerry's from a local shop (interestingly and unrelated also a drug front), got home and noticed the plastic film wasn't wrapped around to secure the lid. Thought nothing of it, opened it and someone had eaten a mouth full of it and must have put it back on the shelf. Doubt they were carrying a spoon with them so can only assumed they scooped it out with their hands. Put me off ice cream for awhile
