It's associated with dim light you see naturally at dawn and dusk, so it makes sense that it has some effect. But exactly what isn't clear and it might be a lot of it depends on the circumstance.

It's not a settled issue. There are research papers that show evidence that blue light affects sleep, which is not the same thing as blue light makes your sleep worse.

The sodium citrate is a good preservative and is responsible for some of that sour flavor

The key part is that your immune system is used to various mold and parasite infections and you're fine, but if you become immune compromised or old then the same thing you did before can kill you. That's why people who actually get infected with things like water born parasites are usually very old or sick.

Both things can be true, China has very tight control of media and they're officially doing only stuff to terrorists. It's literally impossible to hide carpet bombing apartment blocks anywhere in the world. Disappearing people into reeducation camps inside isn't.
