During a film screening of documentaries about Ukrainian children and a subsequent discussion, the assistant to the Vice President of the European Parliament burst into tears while translating the speech of 11-year-old Roman Oleksiy from Lviv. The boy survived a Russian missile strike on Vinnytsia on July 14, 2022, in which his mother was killed.

Roman underwent 36 surgeries and lengthy rehabilitation due to severe burns and injuries. Despite this, he returned to studying, dancing, and music, and even received an award from the President of Ukraine.

On December 10, Roman came to Brussels for the film screening to tell his story to MEPs and urge them to "never give up", because "when we are together, we are strong".

The deputies were shown the films "Romchik", "Children for Putin", and "Chili".

SSU Sea Baby naval drones hit the Russian shadow fleet tanker Dashan in the Black Sea.

The vessel, flying the flag of the Comoros Islands, was moving in Ukraine's exclusive economic zone in the direction of the "Novorossiysk" port terminal. It was proceeding at maximum speed with its transponder turned off.

This was a joint operation of the 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the SSU and the Ukrainian Navy.

As a result of the attack, the tanker sustained critical damage. According to preliminary information, the vessel has been disabled.
