The problem is in the breadth of the statement. “All autistic people” covers a massive range of behaviors and presentations. It’s an outright rejection based on a generalized prejudice. Pretty much the definition of bigotry.

Curious to see what it’s like in 40 years when the world is ruled by Australians.

I don’t equate “profoundly stupid” to “bad”. I enjoy a good stupid movie. I adore Hudson Hawk. I watch Ready Player One all the time in the background.

Reminds me of a profoundly stupid movie I saw as a child called Young Einstein starring Yahoo Serious and no that’s not aphasia talking. He takes an atom out to the shed and splits it with a chisel. An explosion ensues, complete with charred face and smoking hair standing on end.

Fair enough. It’s got some solid spectacle so I’d be down for a big screen rerelease. Pity nobody actually liked it enough to warrant one. Oh well.

It does everything it can to improve the book and a lot of those decisions are phenomenal. But it’s still not a good movie. I just love it dearly.

Ready Player One. It’s a terrible movie that adapts a terrible book, but for some reason the vibe just entertains me and makes me feel comfortable. I don’t know either.
