They are becoming so by way of people not doing anything about it, and literally voting them into power.

Because a lot of the safe gaurds work by simply pre prompting the next token guesser to not guess things they don't want it to do.

Its in plain english using the "logic" of conversations, so the same vulnerabilities largely apply to those methods.

Don't forget the single digit millions that pretended that the mentally incompetent rapist fascist was the same as a generic corporatist neoliberal and encouraged people to stay home.

I mean their post history seems to match, as does their presence here and comment.

I just think some people only believe in ideas insofar as they are in the groups that benefit from said policies.

Why is this type of privileged exclusionary 1 dimension opinion even upvoted?

There are multiple problems that matter at any given time.

Saying that racism is a distraction ignores the very real people who are being harmed right now because they aren't you, and thus you don't care about them. "I got mine" but about other issues.

Some take for a socialist to have really...

It absolutely does. Your post gets hidden, and you have a higher likelyhood of moderator interaction. It is less punishing though.

Moderators universally suuuuuuuuck.

Upvote-downvote is a great reaction to all the trolls. combined withan algorithm they can surface the good stuff and alert moderators to garbage.

They create a similarly big problem though. Every group has a natural tendency towards members increasingly feeling like they are walking on eggshells with ever more precise purity tests, and any dissent gets hidden.

Lemmys culture of downvoting well written things you disagree with is a problem though. So long as nothing is done about that you can’t make a good algorithm.

Well written is subjective. Something can be long and filled with evidence and still be gibberish or in bad faith.

You also have to have a limit of how much effort you are willing to spend in any given conflict.

Furthermore, trying to change human behaviour in that way rather than finding a system that better accomplishes the goal seems like an impossible goal.

I assume we also blame Chinese citizens for everything the CCP does too or does that only apply to western nations.

Does it even apply for all western nations? What about Norway?

I am looking for games that are visually impressive and make use of my 5090 so I can get more use out of it before it becomes second place (though I guess technically its second place to the RTX 6000 Pro Blackwell).

I have already played Cyberpunk 2077, played the heck out of it, very fun, though it has some annoyances so on subsequent playthroughs mods removed those annoyances for me which was great. This game really had a lovely skill tree customization which let you have many different play styles and the free form missions were excellent for letting you complete them in all sorts of ways.

I have also played Atomfall and just have the new DLC left to play through. Its not really that graphically challenging. It was an OK game.

I have also played Split Fiction, which is probably the absolute most fun anyone can have with another person in video game form, especially if one is used to games and the other isnt, but in other cases as well. Very relaxing and high fun to down time ratio.

Played both Robocop games as well. Ok, but not that graphically challenging.

Sort of the big thing I want to avoid is MTXs and marketing dark patterns like FOMO and especially Monetary Dark Patterns. Basically things listed on this website are things I want to avoid

For the record I play on a 4k 144hz monitor and prefer higher frame rates, like 100 ish for comfortable play without eye strain.
