And the answer to that question is "there’s no such thing as a source with no bias"

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 weeks ago

Damn, I didn't realize I - a non-eligible voter not living in a swing state - was that powerful. That makes it even more egregious that the Democrats didn't try to win my vote. I personally chose who would win and they wouldn't even not do genocide to convince me

ie: the lesser evil position is just Accelerationism

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 8 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, but then they couldn't just mindlessly regurgitate them every time they're proven wrong.

Yeah man, the Neo-liberal turn? The war on terror? The GFC? All irrelevant, "people not voting" is the reason we have a goddam Cheeto in the white house.

No, an ad hominem is when you attack someones character as a way to dismiss your arguments: like when you tried to dismiss mine by bleating "projection".

I'm not calling you an insufferable reddit shitheal, who spurts copy pasted logical fallacies from Wikipedia because they think they're magic spells, to discredit your argument. I'm calling you that because that's what you are.

Can we please ban this genocide denier?

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 weeks ago

Gaza was leveled while Biden was in office you genocide denying scum

Oh my God, is there anything more obnoxious that reddit debate lords that have the Wikipedia list of logical fallacies open in another tab, but never bother to actually learn what they mean, so they just copy paste them like they're magical debate incantations that win arguments.

And no, "projection" is not a logical fallacy, you absolute dumb ass. Accusing people of it to dismiss their argument is though, you fucking idiot. Go back to Reddit, for fucks sake.

Mate, the person literally said "Either the sources are biased or not"

are you telling me that

Fun fact: every single time someone writes this, whatever follows is guaranteed to be an outrageous strawman that in no way it's what the other person was saying.

But I’m confident the Harris administration wouldn’t have taking the swan-dive that Trump’s did.

You genocide denying scum. The genocide was just as bad under Biden, who Harris promised to emulate. Your lie that there was some kind of "swandive" is genocide denying bullshit

[–] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 9 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

All the people advocating for "less evil" always end up destroying their own argument by immediately descending into apologism and denial to defend that evil. I'm not going to "vote for the lesser evil" if doing so turns me into a genocide denying ghoul, which it certainly has for everyone I've seen advocating it.

orange traitor

Yeah, that's the problem with Trump: he's not loyal enough to the nation that you yourself have admitted has a bipartisan commitment to genocide. This is like condemning Himmler for being a traitor to Nazi Germany. Seriously, you just can't stop yourself from giving up the game: you don't actually think the Democrats are "lesser evil", you don't think they're evil at all.
