Yeah, this wasn't idle threatening behavior. This is the kind of behavior that if the police were involved would shoot the PoC on the spot.

Yup, those are the faces of finding out. What they did was monstrously evil, threatening to kill kids because they weren't the white colour. I imagine he's probably realizing as well that he's going to be beaten a lot in jail for this. Given the incarceration rate of PoC being higher there's going to be a welcome for him he'll regret if they don't immediately put him into solitary confinement. His life isn't just ruined, he may very well die in prison.

The woman has fully disassociated at this point, she's just got the "going through the motions" look of someone who had the worst news of their life handed to them and don't know how to process it.

Not speaking up or pushing against policies and such that target specific groups of people because that's the way we've always done it makes you a bastard still. We all know there's probably one or two good cops per department/precinct that truly wish and do help people when they can. But they're silenced for the sake of their job speaking out against the mistreatments and policies.

It's part of a larger issue of science and research being funded and backed by big companies that benefit from it not saying their product as bad. There are defunct research articles that state smoking is healthy for you from long ago. A lot of those researchers and doctors were later found to have gotten kick backs from companies that benefited from the positive research. This is just a modern example of money meddling in research for their benefit despite knowing the opposite.

Thank you! Far too many people fail to realize these people when MAGA is gone will still be reprehensible Republicans. They supported and worked for W Bush after all. They're not our friends and I'd just be as happy to see both put into a pit with one spork. Then whoever survives gets eaten by lions.

For LGBT+ and PoC it's been a violent, fascist state against them for a long time. Just now it's affecting the white people to a point they're uncomfortable with but make no mistake, they'll just let it happen again in a few more years.

People talk of Imgur being a leftist echo chamber. I have had more than enough neoliberal types on there argue about the benefits of capitalism to me or that we shouldn't have worker solidarity. I feel when these events happen, it's part legitimately pissed of users but a lot of people just riding the up vote wagon.

I just gave up imgur myself for voicing an opinion of civil disobedience and then told why don't I go there myself with a gun and start shooting. Nuance seems to be dead everywhere.
