I just upvote things I like that I wanna see again. Although there are very few lemmy front-ends on PC that'll let me see what posts I upvoted so it don't really work out too well. So far I've only found photon and stability on that is questionable if I don't go to the upvoted page right away

Look up an app called Revolt. It's like discord but designed with focus on privacy and open sourced development.

If you don't need an exact 1 for 1, you could try Telegram and Signal. People post qr codes for groups in that app all the time

Why you should know: the price hike of Xbox GamePass caused their unsubscribe page to crash. This could lead to someone putting it off and immediately forgetting, then getting charged for the next pass against their wishes. Cutting payment at the source will piss off Xbox and they'll auto kick you off anyway

If a promo requires a google play download, would it also be valid if I rerouted it to Aurora? (lemmy.blahaj.zone)
 

Say a friend of mine has one of those dumb mobile game sponsorships, and if he gets 10 people to download the game through the play store, he gets paid. But instead it opens my browser where I tell it to open with Aurora store and download from there. Would that still count as a download with that code or not? Does that make sense?

Or is that still tracking no matter which store it is and where you download is moot?
