It has definitely changed, since you are no longer limited to a photo reel number limit. The moments are no longer unique in the same way.

I think this is the thing that worries me. I had recently heard of something who lost 20yrs of data from apple for some weird issue.

I also think people treasure images less just because of how much they take today. I don’t think people used to take pictures of their foods at restaurants for example.

My parents have saved tons of boxes of old family photographs growing up. They are fun to look at from time to time, because it used to be a bit harder to create photos. I wonder if the next generation of people will collect moments the same way we used to, seeing how quick and easy things are posted online. I’m sure many of them don’t even have pictures saved locally somewhere and rely on social media and the cloud to store their past.

I do know it’s huge. It was me mostly making a joke about many of the comments on the fediverse being doom and gloom, while Star Trek is about hope and bringing all walks of life together for the better good.

It may be too hopeful of an IP for the people on the fediverse.

I use generative fill for clean up almost daily now.

Ironically, photoshop does have ai powered tools that remove backgrounds now. Not sure why they are giving themselves extra steps.
