For the unfamiliar, lemon balm is a common herb in the mint family. Grows like a weed, smells and tastes great, drought and freeze resistant, attracts pollinators when flowering, doesn't mind being indoors.

I've started to really like it added fresh to herbal tea — it's mildly yet discernibly psychotropic, with a subtle calming effect. If anyone's managed to pull it off well in pesto or salads, I'd love to hear your recipes.

Lemon balm is one of my favorite things to add to fresh mint tea. The lemon scent and flavor can be INTENSE for something that isn't a lemon lol.

We had some growing near my front gate in my childhood home and I would frequently rub a leaf and smell it on my way out of the house in the morning. When my mother moved I tried to take a cutting but it ended up dying. Its such a nostalgic and amazing smell to me but never tried it as a tea before.

Isn't this just melissa? A very common herb and sold as bagged tea in every grocery store around here.
