This could be work or recreational related. Anything you've done that you sit back and go "hell yeah I did that". I'm typically wary of working on cars because I have big hands and no auto specialty tools. But, I was able to make a pretty involved (for me) repair last week and I've felt really great about it since. What about you?

Got my own single user PieFed instance running on YunoHost before it was ready for production. Lots of testing, multiple failures, but I got it running in the end and it works great.

I joined Zwift today! I already did utility cycling, but it's mostly using an e-bike so doesn't provide all that much exercise. I think the gamification will help me stay motivated enough to actually do rides for fitness.

This is definitely going on my list. The best thing I've done for myself in the last year was to get a bike for my health, but winter's making my rides rough and I'm bored after ten minutes on a stationary bike. It'll have to wait until after the holidays, but this might be the next good thing I do.

I'd been wanting to do it for years, but I was never willing to shell out the $$$ for a smart trainer until now. I guess $400 was the price that was finally cheap enough for me to stomach.

[–] BranBucket@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

That's not a terrible price point, and I've been saving for more bike stuff anyway, cause I've still got the new hobby bug pretty bad. Until I saw your post I honestly didn't know this existed outside of something like a Peleton, and the app looks more entertaining than what they're offering.

Somehow I managed to get inspired and created/published a few medium content books (aka puzzle and other oddities in niche areas) online. Actually sold a couple somehow, but if they don't do well that's okay. Trying to work on a real novel now. Not really a writer at heart, but have fallen in love with an idea and the deeper I get the more I want it to succeed. Ironically I took a break from the writing part and played around with cover ideas and character envisioning. Was better at that since I'm a graphics person, and finishing that side trip inspired me to jump back into the writing.

I made @Ulrich@feddit.org lose their shit and go on a mass reporting spree on my comments. 🤣

reminds me of that scene in clerks 2

I made fun of OpenAI so hard, it made some super geek puke all over the counter. Where do we keep the mop and bucket so I can have Elias clean it up?

I got some business finance to build a vertical slice of my game which I can hopefully launch on Kickstarter to make the rest of it.

It's a lot of work but the prototype was fun and there's lots of interesting stuff to do but could only get about a third of what I wanted, financially.

Exciting and also kind of anxiety inducing. Clocks ticking.

Does it have a name yet?

I have set myself some goals this year. Broke them down into many smaller in between goals. And so far I achieved many of them. The most difficult ones are still pending, but yay for me.

I got back in bed cause it's cold AF outside and at work.

I've always wanted to drum. I've been finally learning and I can now play along with several of my favorite songs and it makes me so happy
