1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.

Down With the Sickness. Although, fuck Draimon.
Why?
Why to which sentence? The first sentence is questionable in and of itself. But I guess the best answer is, "because I know all the words, and it's fun to make anger noises."
The second sentence could be questioned if someone were out of the loop. It's because the herald of inclusivity literally signed off on a genocide. He's voiced a number of odd opinions with flawed logic, but he preaches peace while signing missiles. And then went on hiatus because his fans think that calling for the end of a genocide is "free speech," while he calls it "antisemitism," and then he got booed for his awful opinion and refusal to value all human life.
It was for the second question. I like a lot of Disturbed's music but don't really follow the news about the band members. Thanks for linking to the news stories. That's disgusting and disappointing.
We don't have to dance - Andy Black
Lesser known song, but right in my range. It has an ironic message as long as you're clearly having a good time at the function.
Say It Ain't So - Weezer
Don't Let Me Down - The Beatles
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet
Living on a Prayer - Bon Jovi
Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own/Beautiful Day/Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2
Patio Lanterns - Kim Mitchell
Every Sperm is Sacred - Monty Python
Mama Tried - Merle Haggard
Anything from Marty Robbins' Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs when I can get away with it.
You Oughta Know - Alanis Morrisette (and it's a mistake every time)
Big on my maybe list:
Earache My Eye - Cheech and Chong. Aka as a straight cis guy, the only thing that would get me to perform in drag (preferably good drag, with help from people who know what they're doing)
Puppy Love/Put Your Head on My Shoulder - Paul Anka (been on a Paul Anka kick recently, and one of the karaoke spots I like is really close to where the restaurant his parents ran eons ago was)
I'm a Gun - Lorne Green (similar reasons as Paul Anka)
I'll do a lot, but I'll often start with Wagon Wheel, because it gets people singing along, and once they're singing, they're signing up to sing.
Sometimes people need encouragement.
“Bloodbuzz Ohio” -The National.
it’s short, sweet, a little sexy, I can do the voice, and I can remember the lyrics. Also, I live in Ohio. And it reminds me of my best friend, who passed away last year.
Dragula by Rob Zombie
Doesn’t matter. If I’m doing karaoke I will be so drunk I can’t follow the song or even read words.
I found out theres more words than the chorus in the song “Just a Friend “ while shitfaced drunk in front of the bar.
My Sacrifice by Creed is right in my range and that loooong "Agaiiiiiiiiiiiiin" sounds impressive while being easy to execute.
Angels by Robbie Williams is probably one of his easier ones.
Have You Ever Seen The Rain? By CCR is also fun and relatively easy to do.
And finally, if nobody else has done it yet, then "Wonderwall" :P
Tequila lol
I'll Make a Man Out of You from Mulan
Nutshell by Alice in Chains
"Business" - Eminem
Yes, I fucking NAIL it.
Sandstorm - Darude.
Lovin' la Vida Loca
Northwest Passage by Stan Rodgers. Love his other stuff too. People are often surprised that I, an immigrant, know something so Canadian.
Karaoke is like Dick Pics.
Never do it.
No
I don't go to karaoke bars.
