No it's not. You're a fucking fool if you actually believe them when they say it's about that.

The oil was headed to Iran and Russia. That is not up for debate. You’re a fool that is either tricked into or intentionally defending the genocide in Ukraine.

Google said it was headed for Cuba…

Since you’re spamming this comment I’ll have to copy and paste the response.

It was headed to Cuba when it was captured. It had already transported oil to Iran. From the article:

The tanker, which transported oil from Venezuela and Iran, has been sanctioned by the U.S. for years “due to its involvement in an illicit oil shipping network supporting foreign terrorist organizations,”

This ship was sanctioned years ago under Biden not Trump.

You should read the article.

I'm not defending shit, I'm just telling you that you're an idiot if you believe them when they say that's the reason.

Also I've only seen the claim about the oil going to Russia on here, if it's indisputable, can you provide your source? Because I just googled it and it says most of Venezuela's oil goes to China (70-80% of their exports), and the rest goes to India, Cuba and Spain/Italy.

The oil was headed to Iran and Russia.

Those two countries export oil.

They also buy oil. Remember oil needs to be refined.

The kind of oil extracted in Venezuela is called heavy crude, it's not easily refined anywhere, needs some kind of special processes. IIRC a lot of it was processed in the USA itself before sanctions took place during the Deranged Orange Man's first term.
