This has been going on for at least several months

Doesn't matter how many times I hide a post, mark as read, they still keep coming back on my main feed and it's driving me f'king bananas

edit: I should also mention I've gone through, in various iterations, all the basic troubleshooting things. I've cleared, logged/relogged, uninstalled, updated, joined/left the beta, blah blah. The issue always comes back

If you hide a post, it is marked as hidden on the server, and it should not appear again on your feed. Make sure that the option Show hidden in the top right overflow menu is unchecked.
If a post is marked as read, it is marked as read on the server, and it should not appear again if Show read posts is unchecked for your account in Settings - Account preferences. Make sure to save the settings with the button "Save" before leaving the screen.

Both options only work for logged in users.
