This is why my husband's help in the kitchen is "sit on that chair and talk to me while I cook"
He also does the dishes. Sometimes. I'm up in the morning so if it was run overnight I empty and refill (and restart if there was that much going on)
Hey that's my role too: keep company, chat unless she's listening to something, and DJ, but I always put away the leftovers and clean the kitchen. This is the way.
