Eventually the goal is to work as people want to to satisfy everyone's needs, but between now and whenever that's achieved, people will likely continue to get paid more for more intense or moe trained labor. My point is that the variance between wages and the amount capitalists rake in is astronomical.

Of cause capitalists make way more than they deserve. A lot of people are not currently happy with the idea of being payed based on there needs and feel like they put in a lot of work and therefore deserve more pay, how do we encourage these people to become socialist?

Socialism doesn't dictate that everyone gets paid the same. That's why I said between communism and capitalism is the transitional stage of socialism where people are paid based on their work, while we try to orient society in a manner fovused on satisfying everyone's needs. Through existing in socialism, proletarian consciousness is also developed.
