T9 may have worked fine for english, but as a Swede, I remember it being shit for compound words like:

"Slussvaktarbostadshembiträde"

"järnvägstationskiosk"

"Diskrimineringsombudsman"

These are obviously obtuse examples, but all are valid swedish words.
