where i live, perceived bigotry against a third party is seen as way more offense than personal attacks. like people will go out of their way to twist your words to make them seem offensive because it gives them a reason to be upset.

So where you live, people like to make shit up to get mad about? What if you leave that where you live, and try to be a bit more understanding here?
