If the podcast is listed on podcastindex.org you could link to that. It supports linking to individual episodes.

hell yeah, thank you!
Darknet Diaries is such a great podcast.
Sounds cool, gonna check it out.
If your podcasts have an RSS feed, you can set a bot to share them. Apparently you can configure that natively on Friendica for thread-based posts, and on Mastodon you can ping @birb@rss-parrot.net with the feed link for it to create a bot account for that feed.
You could add the podcast to NeoDB and link there. While the item pages aren't properly federated, all the user comments and ratings are.
NeoDB is committed to creating a free, open, and interconnected space for collecting and reviewing books, movies, music, games, and podcasts. Here, you can manage your collections, share your thoughts, discover new content, and connect with others.
Very cool!
I linked to a podcast using pod.link (which offers links on many podcast services) but somebody added it to NeoDB, making all episodes available there 😀
The PM Entertainment Podcast (if anyone's into 90's straight-to-VHS action movies)
If the episode did have its own page, I'd link to that. Otherwise, I'd just link directly to the audio file, along with another link to the RSS feed. It's not great, but I'd also feel icky about linking to a third party service.
Pod.link
Just link directly to the audio file?
This seems like too obvious an answer though. Maybe I'm not sure what you're asking.
