You are absolutely missing something.
Think about how the foot is positioned in the red shoe. The ankle is that high.
It seems so strange to me that you're focused on straps and ignoring the heels. There's nothing about either of those shoes that make any sense.
Yeah I think my ankles would need to be positioned differently on my body to wear either of these shoes. Ergonomics aren't always considered in shoes, and these appear to be focused on fashion rather than supporting foot health.
Attempt to find mechanical logic in a designer fashion piece at your own peril. Donβt over think it. These shoes are made for style not function.
Or am I missing something?
Heels like that aren't always a function-focused shoe and they want it to look a certain way?
