I'm new to lemmy, came from reddit. What's the lemmy etiquette like? How different is it from reddiqutte? (lemmy.ml)

I'm new as in this is my first day using lemmy. I don't know anything about lemmy etiquette and don't want to do anything bad

Have a backup instance in mind, if the culture of your current one doesn't work out. Especially yours. People are not at liberty to express what's what with this instance on this instance.

Do not be afraid to block people, because they will keep showing up, and some of them are psychic vampires whom their instances will never punish. Universal Monk has a sockpuppet on every instance and will probably respond rudely to slash angrily report this comment for pointing out they're a block-evading 'hmm curious' spambot.

As on reddit, beware the cult of civility. Some communities (subs) will viciously punish 'fuck off' but not any behavior that frankly deserves a vulgar dismissal. Read the sidebar. Don't be afraid to search for alternative communities if the sole moderator is intolerable. See also the Ye Power Trippin Bastards community on dbzer0.

after a quick check on your history, you post too much news and other stuff that I don't like. I have no clue how true either of your claims are, but I don't like news. It's stressful, annoying, confusing, etc.

So you don't like news, and that made you decide to tell people to block me?! Ok.... Um, what about the other people who post a lot more news than me? Most of the news I post is pro-socialist news. You can just admit you don't like socialism. But to tell people to block me because of it, is hilarious.

So now I have advice for newcomers: Guys, ya'll should block Camille_Jamal. He doesn't like news about socialism.
