That's not up to code.
Cite the code, I'll even accept IBC.
(WSchVO) 1977 in West Germany. Your pseudo international building code is not international, btw.
Me when I'm privileged enough not to live in the US where the building code is literally cardboard walls and plastic windows.
I don't live there. They asked for an example.
Doesn't change that fact you're standing here on your soap box yelling at people who are probably paying 70% or more of their income for housing that has as much sound proofing as a community pool. In the US your only option is being exploited because the 99% of us don't have any bargaining tools. I don't disagree with the sentiment, but for most people here what you are saying is "go homeless over noise". Most people will not take kindly to that due to how propagandized that subject is.
I am not sure but surely they must have unions in the land of the wellfare-free.
Unions here are a joke. Some localities even have antiunion laws like forcing the union to protect non-paying members, putting a drain on the union by having people who take from the union but never give. A lot of the large unions here are OWNED by the same corporations they are made to protect against. Trying to start a Union in most places will get you fired/kicked out with no way for you to defend yourself. It fucking sucks here, and I very much envy the privilege of getting to live in an actual first world country, and not a weapons manufacturing corporation in a country suit.
Eg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bozeman_Tenants_United does seem fine.
sure does for the 53,293 people in Bozeman.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tenant_unions_in_the_United_States
Theres only 23 states listed here. Of those 23 states, its about 2 cities per state. Not even a majority of US states have a single Tenants union.
