What the hell? This is most insane thing I've read in a while. The EU is not fighting Russia at all, but Russia has been undermining the EU for 2 decades now. Russia attacks EU neighbours to keep them out of the EU, and talks about attacking EU countries. And Russia has not the slightest interest in joining the EU.
Meanwhile, it's the US that's siding with Russia against the EU. So yes, Europe needs to take its defense a lot more seriously.
I've heard lots of soldiers are traumatized by having to kill. WW2 has seen bloody battles where many soldiers never actually fired a rifle. It's hard for a healthy, well adjusted human to kill another human being, and it's supposed to be. It sucks that war forces us to go against this nature.
I will never blame someone for not killing, even when killing would have been justified, or even laudable.
