Hi, so basically my question's in the title. Trying to find KissAnime's site to rewatch some good 'ol Naruto Shippuden dub, I've been following it as it occasionally jumps domains, it's changed names too along the way. I think first it was KissAnime, then GogoAnime, then finally Anitaku. .ru, .to, .bz, I forget where else it's been. Did Daddy Don seize it? Thanks. If this kind of question isn't allowed you're welcome to scream at me, call me names, delete this, etc., thanks 👍

Hello !
I've been working on this thing for a year, it was intended for personal use but some friends liked it and now all our hard drives are saturated with flac files.
A self-hosted shared Qobuz / Tidal music downloader, looking for fellow sailors to test it and publish a stable release if anyone is interested :)

Hey all, I know a lot of people are migrating to private torrent sites, and OK, that's a choice. However there are still a lot of people on the public torrents who are just leeching and not seeding.

I have several popular (old/classic) movies in my feed that I have uploaded (literally) 1000x the original and many more in the several hundred times. That's fine, I choose to support the community, but it's pretty depressing when I look at the seeders count and those movies have 2 or 3 other seeders.

This only works if you share. Please don't cut off as soon as you've downloaded.

And on a personal note, if anyone has audio or video files for "Machine Gun Fellatio" also listed as MGF could you please start seeding in particular

"MGF Pack 1"

"MGF+Pack+2"

"MGF+Pack+3"

If I can get the download completed I'll keep them up permanently, but unfortunately as they are obscure/rare I'm getting nowhere.

Rules don't permit me showing the torrent link of course. DM if that would help

Been trying to make Linux more a part of my life and decided to switch my Plex server over from Windows 11 to Ubuntu.

After an embarrassingly long time I was able to get Plex, Docker, and Zurg all working as I want mostly using this guide

Now to the point, I would like add RDT to this. I am able to get RDT up and running and connected to Jackett and Sonarr but I am not able to get RDT to correctly download the files into the rclone mount.

My hope is that I can have my RealDebrid library connected via Zurg and my TorBox library connected via RDT both syncing with my Plex server.

Tldr; need help configuring RDT to integrate into current docker compose.

I discovered this by accident. It may not work 100% of the time.

If you create a patreon account using a simplelogin alias, patreon will automatically flag it as suspicious after a few minutes and delete the account.

This means you can make an account. Purchase whatever you wanted and wait. The account will be deleted as suspicious and the money is automatically refunded.

A group of prominent intellectual property law professors has weighed in on the high-stakes AI copyright battle between several authors and Meta. In an amicus brief, the scholars argue that using copyrighted content as training data can be considered fair use under U.S. copyright law, if the goal is to create a new and 'transformative' tool. This suggests that fair use could potentially apply to Meta's training process, even if the underlying data was obtained without permission.

This case has a clear piracy angle, as Meta used BitTorrent to download archives of pirated books to use as training material. Notably, the authors argue that, in addition to copying pirated books from Anna’s Archive and Z-Library, in the same process Meta also uploaded pirated books to third parties.

This week, a group of IP Law Professors submitted a “friend of the court” or amicus brief, backing Meta’s fair use defense. The professors, including scholars from Harvard, Emory, Boston University, and Santa Clara University, have different views on the impact of AI but are united in their copyright stance.

The brief stresses that Meta’s alleged use of pirated books as training data can be considered fair use. The source of the training data is not determinative, as long as it’s used to create a new and transformative product, they argue.

“The case law, including binding circuit precedent, holds that internal copying, made in the course of creating new knowledge, is a transformative use that is heavily favored by fair use doctrine,” the professors write.

The professors’ argument is centered around the concept of “transformative use.” They note that using books outside their original ‘reading’ purpose to create an AI model, transforms the purpose of the use. This internal copying, they argue, falls into a category courts have consistently recognized as fair use, also known as “non-expressive use”.

The amicus brief cites several cases to back up their line of reasoning. This includes the Perfect 10 v. Amazon lawsuit, where the Ninth Circuit found that it was fair use when Google created thumbnails using images copied from unauthorized “pirate” sites, because the resulting image search tool was transformative.

The authors cited conflicting cases, but the professors note that cases where fair use was denied typically involved copyright infringement related to personal consumption, rather than use of content to create something new.

The brief distinguishes this case from those cited by the plaintiffs, which involved unauthorized copying for direct consumptive use (e.g., downloading for personal enjoyment). In contrast, Meta’s internal copies were allegedly not perceived by humans but used to build a new tool.

“Fair use, like copyright as a whole, ‘is not a privilege reserved for the well behaved’,” the brief notes. “Fair use doctrine should focus on the consequences of a ruling for knowledge and expression. Other considerations should be left for other legal regimes.”

Other countries, including Japan, have reportedly crafted exceptions in their law to allow tech companies to train LLMs on copyrighted material, without permission.

The U.S. has no such exceptions, but the professors urge the court to consider fair use. As the VCR and other innovations showed, copyright shouldn’t stand in the way of new tools and developing technologies.

Somewhat notable due to previous drama these two groups seem to have had previously.

Ahoy mateys, it's time to setup Jellyfin if you prefer not to pay for the privilege of self-hosting your own content.

We are also changing how remote playback works for streaming personal media (that is, playback when not on the same local network as the server). The reality is that we need more resources to continue putting forth the best personal media experience, and as a result, we will no longer offer remote playback as a free feature. This—alongside the new Plex Pass pricing—will help provide those resources. This change will apply to the future release of our new Plex experience for mobile and other platforms.

I was searching through the megathread (https://rentry.co/megathread) and I found that yts.mx and 1337x.to are labeled as 'fake clones'. I have used both of these several times

Are yts.mx and 1337x.to considered unsafe? I have them in my prowlarr and wondering if I should remove them

Edit: I was wrong 1337x is not labeled as a fake clone, I misread the fake clone which is 1377x

Woke up to my computer being updated to W11 from W10, not too happy about that. I want to use massgrave to change my window to W10 LTSC.

I am not interested in Linux.

So, I went to massgrave.dev and did the script, hit 1, etc. It just say something about permanent changed to key or whatever.

So I went download W10 LTSC iso, hit setup.exe and it asked me for product key. I entered my key, say it's not right one.

So could somebody run me step by step how to go about it? I'm not really tech savvy. I want literal step by step, telling me exactly what to do.

Thank you.

Edit: folks didn't really provide step by step here. But I managed to do it. I activiated script via powershell and hit change edition, changed it to LTSC. And then I downloaded window 10 consumer version from massgrave and run setup.exe and done. You might have to do first step shown in first part of massgrave.dev.

So my pc went from w10 to w11 (woyhouy my approval) to w11 LTSC, to w10 IoT enterprise. I'm good now.

We are getting reports of YouTube rolling out an experiment to some accounts where normal videos only have DRM formats available on the tv (TVHTML5) Innertube client.

This is not limited to yt-dlp. Tests have been run with the same account on various official YouTube TV clients (PS3, web browser, apple tv) and they are also only getting DRM formats for videos.

We live in hell-world.

I know YouTube is a terrible provider of pirated content and also that it is almost impossible to pirate without a VPN, but I would like to know: if I download a movie from YouTube (directly from it, of course) without a VPN, will I receive "that type of message" from my ISP?

Hello, recently I've been on the hunt for a private music tracker to populate my Lidarr Instance, I've found REDacted and Orpheus quite appealing, but they're "hard" to get into and are mostly for audiophiles.

I'm not an audiophile (more like a brokeyphile) and I don't want to wait 3-5 weeks on something I'll be just seeding instead of being active, do y'all have any recommendations? All I can offer is seeding 24/7 and a few proofs that I have good ratios

I’m currently using windows but my Prime streams stutter a lot and are all jittery. it’s really annoying. So I’m wondering if getting a mac mini or something a bit more powerful than my PC would help.

Obviously there are DRM issues, those can be fixed on windows by turning off Hardware Acceleration in my browser. Is it easy to get around DRM on Mac?

Anyone have any experience or know where I can go to get help/talk about it with people?

System Specs: Intel Core i5 10400, GTX 1050 TI, 16gb Ram, 500gb SSD (for OS) and another 1tb SSD for recordings

I use Bandicam to record my Edge browser. Prime is a bit smoother when I make sure my PC is not running on efficiency mode, but still stutters a bit.

Other streaming services only run in 720p or worse, can't get them to get to 1080p which is my target. I have to use a 4k monitor to get Prime to play at 1080p.

I should note that I purchased all of this content and I only use it for personal use as it's more convenient for me to have a video file than always streaming the edited content.

I know, I know, the wisest thing to do is to abandon them, but today I came across a site that I simply couldn't bypass because it always blocked me with an extremely stupid "disable your adblock" video, that infuriated me so much... I would 100% migrate to torrents if I didn't find such unique catalogs on these sites.

I know they are not the original actors, but the acting and enviroment look really good in my opinion. It's a shame you can only play it on sweden, goodluck with that! https://www.svtplay.se/the-pirate-bay?kfx=BzwpyF9vC

Anyway, I here is a Base64 encoded link to a rentry.co page so you guys can watch both the 2013 documentary and the 2024 Series with english subtitles, regardless on the country or planet or species.

If anyone is willing to upload the subtitles to another cloud service as a mirror, let me know.

As easy as taking candy from a megacorp’s intellectual property

Rough Procedure:

  1. Download game of choice from fitgirl-repacks dot site from a separate (linux) computer. (Dont forget to seed folks!)

  2. Install it via lutris. I installed it on my linux PC so Lutris will automatically create a directory under ~/Games

  3. After fitgirl is done with her magic, take the entire directory installed under ~/Games, copy it over to a USB, and transfer it to your steam deck. You would probably need a USB to USB-C adapter for this one.

If you have no such adapter, no worries. What you could do is in desktop mode, install Decky, and from Decky install the terminal plugin (or you can skip installing Decky entirely and just use the terminal from desktop mode. But Decky is a really good plugin and want an excuse for more people to try it out!). SteamOS is by default an immutable distro so you can’t mess around outside your home directory unless you invoke some special linux incantations. Here is the procedure for that: https://christitus.com/unlock-steam-deck/

After you unlock & install the terminal on your steam deck, install and start openssh daemon so your steam deck can be an ssh server so other pcs on your local network can ssh into your steamdeck. From the top of my head the command should be:

sudo pacman -S openssh

sudo systemctl start sshd.service

Or something like that idk 🤷

After that do an “ifconfig” on your terminal emulator on the steam deck to find out the local address of your steam deck (should be something like 10.x.x.x, or 192.168.x.x or something (basically search up what an internal ip should look like)). After you successfully ascertain such code, try to ssh in to your steam deck, and if you can, do an rsync from your PC. (rsync -rl —progress ‘installed game directory’ deck@‘steamdeck internal ip’:/home/deck/Games)

Ok now that it’s done rsyncing, open up steam from desktop mode in your steamdeck, add non-steam game, and choose the exe file in your installed game folder. (Remember when installing from fitgirl, you can choose where to place the game directory? That should be where it is).

Ok now that’s done, try running it and see if it works. Ez. If you want community game layouts set up, copy & paste the game code from steam db as the “Shortcut Name” of your game, and community layouts should show up

Next steps are optional, but basically your installed game will just be blank in your steam library when you play it, so here are the steps to make piracy more ✨a e s t h e t i c✨

Remember you installed decky? Install the steamgriddb plugin from it, and highlight your new non-steam game, and there should be an option called “changed artwork” when you press the three horizontal line button on ur steam deck. Go ham.

Anyway here are the rough details of how i was able to make it work. Ive only tested it with fitgirl but theres no reason other repacks wont work.
